"Phil and I recorded a little bit more of Guilty last night. Got up to the first chorus and we're doing a staggered thing...Tell people that we are ROCKING."
from george & jess of carol ann & the last stand:
"we actually sat down yesterday and picked some beats that we liked since this is gonna be a carol-ann drummerless type thing. we listened to the song a few more times and discussed our game plan. i'm going to start building the track this week with the beats we liked. we emailed eric and confirmed his guitarsoloness that he will grace us with...the jeremy tribute song has lyrics, the music will be worked on asap."

"chris and i made some nice head way on aimless this weekend - much thanks to chris for uber excitement and arrangements and much thanks also to cris a. for assisting out little recording."

jared & stephanie of baby be-gone have definitely chosen waste your time (cough, finally!, cough)& I'm hoping bryan's sure to be ambitious EMSO contribution will tackle cremate this band but I must hear from him first. dan w. assured me he was still alive & has a "simple" approach planned for his version of hardest part.
phil's occasional partner-in-crime, pete, formerly of punk rock meow-ers, the teeth, now earl of bandwidth took the unfinished tentative smilax demo of magician's son & made something so nice & pleasing that suddenly having a remix on j's tribute would be butters. I'll just lick my chops in the corner.
travis is in jamaica with his lovely rebecca. phina is also vacationing, they are going to the wyo - where the horses come from. a lot of other contributors will be packing & unpacking because of moves. joe willie may still be at large somewhere in the woods with a raccoon stuck on his head & a half-empty bottle of bourbon in his hand but I could just be fabricatin' again. sorry. I like to do that.
